Turning Tools (buy full size tools that way you don’t have to buy real tools when you

start making bigger projects)

Roughing gouge

Parting tool

3/8 inch spindle gouge

Skew chisel

Pen turning mandrel

Pen kits

Matching bushings

Medium Gap filling CA glue

Sand paper 120 grit – 1,200 grit

Finish of choice (Hut Crystal Coat or CA Glue)

Saw to cut blanks

Bandsaw is ideal but a table saw or even a cutoff saw works. You could even use

a miter saw.

Drill press (2.5inches works 3.5 inches of spindle travel will allow you to make anything)

Self centering drill vise

Pen Mill (to make the blank square after drilling)

Pen press (to assemble finished pens)

Disassembly kit (eventually you will need one of these)

Wood of choice about .75 x .75 x 5.5 inches

Grinder (for sharpening tools)
